What Sort Of Magic Trick Is Most Impressive to Actual Magicians?

Most magicians would say that the most impressive magic trick is the one that they have never seen before. For some magicians, the most impressive magic trick is the one that they have seen a million times and can still make it look new. There are many different types of magic tricks and each one is more impressive than the last. For example, some magicians can make objects disappear or appear out of nowhere. Others can make creatures appear out of thin air. Some magicians can make people do things that they never thought possible. There are so many different types of magic tricks that it is hard to choose just one. However, if forced to choose, the most impressive magic trick is the one that no one has seen before.
Watch the following video carefully; it is a real eye-opener:

What sort of magic trick is most impressive to actual magicians?

The most impressive magic trick to actual magicians is the impossible trick. This is a trick that is impossible to do with actual magic, but is possible with technology. For example, the balloon trick.

It tends to be either really technically demanding, or a really novel method or structure.
The technically demanding is impressive to me. I’ve seen some otherworldly dexterous magicians in instructional videos, and it’s stunning what can be done unseen by really talented magicians.
There are some categories of tricks that have dozens of methods, so coming up with a way to strengthen the routine, or to present it in a way that’s more compelling is an admirable creative solution. There’s a million ways to find a card, or make the coins teleport from one hand to the other, but some routines have advantages over others.
As this is not a field where the technical ability is openly displayed (as opposed to juggling), the technical stuff is invisible to those that don’t know much about sleight of hand.
So, none of this has any bearing on the things that always play well in performances for the public… two of the biggest tricks I do are among the easiest.
